We are recruiting foran Operations Manager with experience ofHard Landscaping within the new buildsector. On offer is a salary ofup to 48000 per year(negotiable based on experience) plus car or carallowance the opportunity forprogression and hybridworking.

Asthe Operations Manager you will be joining a company thatspecialises in outdoor space design and construction projects forboth residential and commercial developers across the UK. Theirclients include housing developers local authorities holiday parksetc. with projects including hard & soft landscaping safetysurfacing playground installations skate parks gym zones sportspitches and padelcourts.

Asthe Operations Manager you willbe:

  • Responsiblefor project scheduling and managing prestart meetings site visitsand inspections which will include travelling to sites across theUK and managing multiple installation projectsconcurrently.
  • Workingto ensure all allocated projects are delivered safely on time tobudget to contractual specifications meet both financial andquality requirements and are completed to client ssatisfaction.
  • Offeringbest in sector customer service and developing strong relationshipswith keyclients.
  • Ensuringthe financial integrity and resource planning of all assignedprojects.
  • Ensuringall prestart processes are followed that site surveys riskassessments and method statements are prepared ahead ofinstallation and that any site specific requirements are noted andcommunicated to the buildteam.
  • Supportingsenior management and sales teams in pretender meetings andthroughout the tender process including client facingmeetings.
  • Liaisingwith a variety of customers including house builders localauthorities commercial developers private clientsetc.


Requirements

Asthe Operations Manager you willneed:

  • Agood grounding and understanding of hard landscaping installationprojects with experience of the new build housing sector includingboth private & socialhousing.
  • Strongadministration project scheduling and managementskills.
  • Experienceof managing and motivating directly employed and subcontractorteams.
  • Aneye for detail and be used to achieving high standard constructionprojects.
  • Tobe a confident communicator with the ability to work with customersto manage their expectations resolving any issues etc. and to beproactive in seeing opportunities for additional and new businessopportunities.
  • Tobe used to both the operational and administration side ofconstruction project management and be confident in your ability toplan schedule amend or rearrange projects asrequired.
  • Tobe happy to travel to sites across theUK.
  • Experiencein working under a JCT form of Contract and of managingsubcontractororders.

A good grounding and understanding of hard landscaping installationprojects with experience of the new build housing sector includingboth private & social housing. Strong administration, projectscheduling and management skills. Experience of managing andmotivating directly employed and sub-contractor teams. An eye fordetail and be used to achieving high standard constructionprojects. To be a confident communicator with the ability to workwith customers to manage their expectations, resolving any issuesetc., and to be proactive in seeing opportunities for additionaland new business opportunities. To be used to both the operationaland administration side of construction project management and beconfident in your ability to plan, schedule, amend or re-arrangeprojects as required. To be happy to travel to sites across the UK.Experience in working under a JCT form of Contract and of managingsubcontractor orders.
