What we are looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated Front of House Catering Supervisor to join our team at The Lab Café, located within the Londoneast-UK business and technical park. This role will play a key part in supporting the catering team and enhancing the overall dining experience in our cafeteria restaurant setting. Responsibilities will include overseeing service quality, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of customer care. Additionally, the role holder will bring creativity and innovation to ensure the delivery of exceptional and healthy food offerings, contributing to efficient operations and an outstanding dining experience.

Duties:

  • Develop and test new service concepts with the team to enhance the dining experience.
  • Set up and organise the front-of-house area for smooth and efficient service.
  • Oversee food arrangement and presentation to maintain high standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and minimise delays.
  • Communicate menu options and ensure compliance with dietary and allergy requirements.
  • Monitor inventory, manage stock orders, and ensure the front of house is well-supplied.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues professionally and promptly.
  • Foster teamwork and open communication among front-of-house staff.
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Maintain records of service procedures and customer feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team for seamless coordination.
  • Streamline front-of-house processes for improved efficiency.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to service protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain and report any issues with front-of-house equipment.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant management, with a proven track record in managing front-of-house operations and leading teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate catering staff, manage schedules, and handle staffing issues effectively.
  • Strong skills in customer service and guest relations, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities to manage various aspects of front-of-house operations efficiently.
  • High attention to detail to ensure that service standards and presentation are consistently maintained.


Working Arrangements:

  • Working pattern: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: The Lab Café situated on the Londoneast-UK (Dagenham East).
