Job Summary

We areseeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to join our Jazan AreaContract Unit (JACU) under Western Region Manufacturing. JACU isresponsible for coordinating and administering all our contractsand providing the full range of contract services for proponentswithin Jazan Complex. Your primary role will be to work with JazanComplex Departments as the contract proponent representative in thedevelopment and administration of all the contracts.

KeyResponsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer contractdevelopment.
  • Provide complex technical adviceand support throughout the contract lifecycle from conception totermination.
  • Coordinate the development ofscopes of work for various contract services.
  • Conduct bid reviews negotiations verifications and allcontractrelated activities.
  • Ensure compliancewith guidelines coordinate activities and provide technicalexpertise to maintain conformity with corporate contractingpolicies and procedures.
  • Provide direction oncontract actions including administration extension renewal andtermination of contracts.
  • Assist proponentsduring emergencies turnarounds and major workactivities.
  • Conduct JobEx (Job Execution)meetings and coordinate site visits.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial studies toestablish the feasibility of contract services and evaluatealternatives.
  • Develop the scope of work forvarious contract services.
  • Prepare statusreports for executive management.
  • Participateas the contract proponent representative on bid review teamscontributing to the development of the Companys position oncontract terms and negotiations.
  • Help preparebid responses negotiation offers and counteroffers.
  • Prepare Company estimates or collaborate with estimatingfunctions in estimate preparation.
  • Negotiatewith contractors as part of a negotiating team.
  • Prepare responses and represent the company on ClaimReview Panels.
  • Provide or assist in providingproponent representation in contract administration and offerfinancial and technical advice on contract clauses.
  • Help justify and recommend changes in contractingprocedures or contract formats for management approval.
  • Perform periodic examinations of Contract Administrationin the field to identify shortcomings or potential problems inadministrative procedures or contract terms andconditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in aBusiness or Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of5 years of experience in mega project contracting activities withinthe Oil & Gas Industry with a preference for experience in thedownstream sector (Refinery or Petrochemical).
  • Overall knowledge of contracting techniques.
  • High level of fluency in oral and writtenEnglish.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word andPowerPoint.
