ID Systems are an established industry leader providing single sourced solutions within the field of MEICAT Engineering. Our areas of expertise include hazardous areas, PLC/SCADA, telemetry integration, electrical engineering design, installation, project management and preventive maintenance. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit an Commissioning Engineers to join our rapidly growing teams in our Cumbernauld , Edinburgh, Inverness & Preston offices.

Job Title Commissioning Engineer | Location Pan-Scotland
As our next Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in driving the successful commissioning of our assets which includes Motor Control Centres, Pumping Plant, Process Equipment, Standby Generation Equipment and various other instrumentation.
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be working across Scotland on initially our smaller and then moving to larger assets. This is a stand-alone role that requires effective communication with our teams, simulating our assets and reporting back on their functionality. You will be responsible for ensuring our assets are working as they should.
This position will require regional travel across Scotland. We will provide accommodation, evening meal and breakfast while you are working away.
Your remit is to contribute to the preparation of Commissioning Plans, Review P&ID diagrams, and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the commissioning process.

You can expect to be involved in the full plant instrumentation and control simulation and ensuring that our assets are fully operational and functioning as required.

Valid CSCS card or a SHEA Water Card Knowledge of PLC software packages is essential Preferably demonstrable experience of working within the water and / or sewage industries Good IT skills including familiarity with the Microsoft packages Previous experience of commissioning installations (M&E) in line with industry standards.At Morrison Water Services, we are committed to the safe delivery of essential infrastructure services.
