ID Systems, part of M Group Services Water Division, is the leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors in the UK. As a division, we employ circa 3000 people across the UK and are committed to the safe delivery of essential infrastructure services.

Our Expertise

We provide single-sourced solutions within the field of MEICAT Engineering, including hazardous areas, PLC/SCADA, telemetry integration, electrical engineering design, installation, project management, and preventive maintenance. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit a Commissioning Engineer to join our rapidly growing teams in our Cumbernauld, Edinburgh, Inverness, and Preston offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful commissioning of our assets, including Motor Control Centres, Pumping Plant, Process Equipment, Standby Generation Equipment, and various other instrumentation.
  • Work across Scotland on initially smaller and then larger assets, ensuring effective communication with our teams, simulating assets, and reporting back on their functionality.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Commissioning Plans, review P&ID diagrams, and liaise with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the commissioning process.

Requirements

  • Valid CSCS card or a SHEA Water Card
  • Knowledge of PLC software packages is essential
  • Preferably demonstrable experience of working within the water and/or sewage industries
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft packages
  • Previous experience of commissioning installations (M&E) in line with industry standards
