You will provide coverage for surgeries located in St Austell & Newquay area, with outpatient clinics held in both locations.

As a Consultant, you will offer clinical leadership within the team, focusing on the patients you personally engage with. Care coordination is not part of your responsibilities.

This role will include supporting resident Doctors. These trainees will primarily be involved in community-based activities but will also have on-call duties for inpatient services. You will serve as the Clinical Supervisor for the resident doctor, with dedicated time allocated each week for supervision.

About us

We are a dedicated NHS community and mental health provider based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, committed to enhancing the physical and mental health of our community. Our services range from community and hospital-based care to specialised support for individuals living with dementia or a learning disability.

At our core, we are a people-focused organisation because we believe that people matter. As a member of our team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of both residents and visitors in this stunning region of the UK.

Our Trust is made up of over 4,000 skilled professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and essential administrative and support staff. We deliver care directly in people's homes, within community clinics, and from our 13 community hospitals. Our vision is clear: to have great people providing great care, making this a great place to work, and being a great partner in the community.

Cornwall is home to approximately 568,000 residents, with a third of the population receiving acute hospital services in Devon. This necessitates close collaboration with our partners across Devon. Additionally, during the summer and holiday seasons, our services extend to accommodate the many visitors who choose to explore and enjoy this beautiful area.

The successful applicant will be provided a relocation budget and may qualify for recruitment incentive to help with the costs of relocating to this area.
