Health & Social Care Graduate – Tameside

If so, Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Mainstream Primary school located in Tameside that need a 1:1 Teaching assistant to work with a SEMH student (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) In this role, you will be working with several students on a 1:1 basis, assisting them with both education and external SEMH needs.

The successful applicant will be someone with a strong understanding of SEMH. Prior experience working with students between the ages of 4-11 years would be highly beneficial, transferable skills of working within an education setting would also be favourable.

Role Requirements:

  • 1:1 Work with students struggling with their social, emotional, mental health. 
  • Pastoral intervention with both SEN and SEMH students
  • Building a SEMH support plan with the school SENCO.
  • Safeguarding experience within a school setting (this can be done through Teaching Personnel).

You will be working within a passionate faculty who are focused on the development of SEN students, alongside working closely with the school SENCO and HLTAs to gain a better understanding on the students’ requirements.

About the role:

  • PAYE rates of £85 - £95 per day
  • Weekly pay through school timesheets
  • Located SK14, easily accessible from anyone in Tameside, Stockport or Oldham.
  • Full time – Monday to Friday
  • Immediate start following Teaching Personnel registration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
