Business Support Officer L1

We are looking to appoint a permanent part time (18 hours) Business Support Officer Level 1, to join our Kingston and Richmond Cluster Business Support Team (the Team). The role is responsible for undertaking administrative duties within the Team under the supervision of the Business Support Team Manager.

The Kingston & Richmond Cluster Services operate across the Kingston and Richmond Boroughs with staff based in Guildhall 2 (Kingston),Civic Centre Twickenham (Richmond) and Moor Lane (Chessington).You will be required you to work flexibly across both Moor Lane (Chessington) and Guildhall 2 (Kingston).

The hours for this post are 18 hours per week, these hours are to be worked over 3 days which must include a Tuesday and Thursday.

Please note that this is a permanent and part time position, therefore the salary will be pro-rated accordingly.

About the role

Achieving for Children uses the hybrid model of working for most of its staff which includes Business Support, with an expectation that staff operate a mix of working from home as well as being office based across the AfC offices in Kingston and Twickenham.

The Services based in the Kingston and Richmond Cluster are: Referral & Assessment, Early Help/Family Support, Safeguarding, Emotional Health, Education Psychology. There will be some Service specific work using the bespoke databases.

Generic responsibilities for the role will include;

Managing and responding to all requests received in the Business Support inbox & fielding all telephone calls and messages/requests via emails Providing administrative support to meetings and panels. This includes creating an agenda and taking minutes Purchase ordering of equipment, goods, services Supporting the team with the organisation of workshops/events, adverts and setting up virtual meetings Supporting with I.T. set up and the creation of resources as required, and receipt and processing invoices

The role will require an individual to have strong admin and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.
