Learning Support Assistant - September Start

Job Duties:
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting classroom teachers in delivering tailored lesson plans
  • Helping students with personal care and behaviour management
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
  • Knowledge of different learning strategies and techniques
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid training certification
  • Additional qualifications in special education or child development
Working Conditions:
  • Work hours may vary based on school timetables
  • May require physical activity such as assisting students with mobility
  • Will involve working closely with teaching staff and parents
  • Compliance with school policies and procedures is essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
