Job Description

Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: £29,000

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our client's team at their Caversham location. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the nursery's operational excellence and commitment to early childhood education. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary of £29,000.

Qualifications
  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above; Level 5 qualification is desirable
  • Demonstrated success in a leadership capacity within a nursery or early childhood education setting, with a strong understanding of EYFS and Ofsted regulations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in teamwork and adeptness in assuming managerial duties when necessary
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements and nursery policies


Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education
  • First Aid certification and safeguarding training


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Manager to oversee and manage the nursery, ensuring adherence to high standards of care, educational excellence, and regulatory compliance
  • Provide strong leadership and support to nursery staff, offering guidance, mentoring, and creating a positive work environment conducive to professional growth
  • Ensure the day-to-day operations of the nursery comply with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for children, families, and staff
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to elevate the quality of the nursery's offerings and ensure continuous improvement
