The Opportunity

We seek an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Platform team in UserTesting. You will be instrumental in shaping and executing our product roadmap and in charge of maintaining our existing platform. You will be developing high-quality software design and architecture in Python, and React. You will be a proactive team player, capable of working asynchronously in a distributed team, with a strong capacity for learning; staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies. You will have strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, ownership, initiative, and integrity. You will work with the team and wider teams within the business to align software solutions with business and technical strategies.

 

The Team

The Platform team at UserTesting, responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning and big data solutions. They are collaborative, action oriented and passionate advocates of new technology solving customer problems. They also play a crucial role in enhancing the UserTesting’s platforms. What we are looking for

  • Experience developing services in Python
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Experience in writing unit-tests to validate the code based on functional specs
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such Redux, Router, etc)
  • Exceptional learning ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform validation and verification testing
  • Ability to work asynchronously in a distributed team.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Familiarity with Typescript.
