Band 6 Paediatric Audiologist

Job summary
This 12 month fixed term post is for a suitably qualified Audiologist with at least 2 years post qualification experience in routine and non- routine paediatric assessment and rehabilitation procedures. The post holder will need to be motivated in participating in service development as we have ample opportunity for this The role is based at Heartlands Hospital; however, the successful candidate will be required to work at Solihull Hospital as and when required.
Main duties of the job
-Perform routine audiological investigations on individuals of all ages.
-Assess and fit appropriate hearing aids based on hearing loss and best clinical practice guidelines
-Behavioural hearing assessment of children some of whom will have complex needs
-Support the delivery of the paediatric audiology service working closely with ENT and senior audiologists.
-Complete routine follow-up assessments of hearing aid use and be able to trouble-shoot and problem solve accordingly
-Support and advising junior colleagues on treatment plans and technical issues
