Facultative Reinsurance Claims Broker

You will be utilising your experience in Facultative Reinsurance Claims to cover matters across a variety of areas. As a reinsurance claims broker you will be responsible for overseeing and completing production of new claim files to a defined standard. Reviewing claims received and providing feedback to brokers where required.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for producing claims information and presenting reinsurers, either written format such as CLASS. Additionally, you will be dealing with instructions, queries and enquiries.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The right candidate for this role will have an understanding of the Lloyd’s markets, as this is necessary to successfully process and manage the Claims-related elements of the role. They must be at least Cert qualified or working towards. At Least be educated to an undergraduate degree level. Most importantly have experience handling reinsurance excess of loss claims.
- On receipt of claim notification, identify risk, review details in conjunction with coverage/wording afforded, acknowledge to client/intermediary, prepare claims file accurately and promptly and maintain in-house and external computerised claims records.
- Monitoring reinsurers’ agreement and payment of funds and ensuring that payment is made to the appropriate beneficiary in good time.
- Providing regular feedback to Claims Manager on portfolio of claims, status and market conditions and their possible implications.
- Attending internal / client meetings as appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate records
