Job summary
Tobe responsible for the accurate and timely processing of prescription requestsfor our patients, liaising effectively with all relevant personnel.Duties can include but are not limited to, the processing of repeat prescriptionsin electronic and hard copy format, including online requests. In addition, thepost-holder will be required to support with ad-hoc administrative and Reception duties when required.
Main duties of the job
Deal with prescription queries from patients, care homes and community pharmacies.

To manage the prescribing process including all requests, monitoring usage and informing GPs of any compliance issues or queries
To liaise with community pharmacies and care homes and other clinical teams.
To assist with any other ad-hoc administration processes when required.

To provide regular support to leads and other departments
To keep patient records clear and up to date
To cover late night reception when required in a flexible workingarrangement

Minimum 3 A-C grade GCSEs or equivalent(English, Maths, Science) Good communications skills Good working knowledge of IT Good understanding of own limitations Ability to work in a close team Excellent Organisational skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work on own initiative Flexibility

Administrative Qualifications Knowledge of EMIS Experience of Administrative role in General Practice and or a primary care setting Telephone skills Understanding of General Practice Understanding of NHS structure-
