We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic scanningnurse or midwife to work inall of our clinics within the Northwest Region.
We are looking for scanning nurses witha scanning qualification who can deliver safe and effectivecare of patients wanting to access; consultation for unplanned pregnancy,surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services forwomen. You must have ultra sound scanning experience (t/a and t/v) in first trimester.
You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role withinour multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You willneed to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is amust.
Main duties of the job
To deliver safe and effective care of patients from admissionto discharge in accordance with Healthcare Commission Standards, NMC Guidelinesfor Professional Practice and company policies and procedures. You must have ultra sound scanning experience (t/a and t/v) in first trimester.

Current Nurse and or Midwifery Council NMC registration as a Registered Nurse Sub part 1 of the NMC register Registered Midwife. Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health TOP or Gynaecological service. Ultra sound scanning experience and qualification in first trimester.
Desirable
Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare FSRH Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques ie IUS and or IDU fitter and Insertion and removal of Subdermal Implants. SDI Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.
