A career as a Data Flow Engineer, will provide you with the opportunity to establish and maintain data connections, validations, and transformations. You will be critical to the process of iterative improvement with an emphasis on improving auto-reconciliation within our system using advanced technology
 

How you will contribute: 

Import and validate file delivery for new clients

Automate daily process monitoring and reporting

Establishing connections through external APIs, FTPs, and web scrapes

Ensure timely and dependable consumption of external portfolio data

Normalize external datasets into a standardized Clearwater format facilitating the consumption process

Mine data from existing feeds to identify, design, and implement solutions to improve auto-reconciliation

Execute improvements requested from Operations and Development groups

Interact frequently with internal departments including Operations and Development

Respond quickly, accurately, and thoroughly to internal and external inquiries

Apply acquired skills, procedures, and decision-making best practices to complete a variety of issues. I.e.: normalizing new feeds, improving automation, etc.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner.

Understands and can reference or explain the general workflow, tools, and Clearwater value proposition. 

Focuses efforts on the most difficult cases and client situations, while balancing critical requests of lower complexity.

Look for opportunities to improve our data and systems 

Use critical thinking in addressing issues and offering solutions for both internal and external parties, ensuring best practices are employed.

Who you are:

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Information Systems, or other relevant degree

Strong problem solving and math skills

Strong understanding of SQL and relational database principals

Experience with a scripting programming language like Groovy, Perl or Python

Experience with Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to pick up new tasks quickly and a willingness to learn

Desired Experience and Skills:  

Experience with industry-standard data transmission protocols

Securities, accounting, and financial experience

Experience with industry-standard data transmission protocols.
