Location: This is a hybrid position, based at Royal Mail Royal Mail, Future Walk, Chesterfield, S49 1PF with a requirement to work in the office Monday , Tuesday and Thursday each week for collaborative working.

About the role

In your role as Master Data Team Leader you will assume responsibility for ensuring that relevant master and transactional data is managed and processed in an accurate and timely manner and that all controls and reconciliations take place before reporting commences.

Leading a team of 3 administrators you will play a pivotal position in driving the maintaining through effective change management both financial and non-financial master and reference data. You and your team will be responsible for updating financial and non-financial hierarchies and ensure alignment across systems to enable accurate reporting.


You’ll ensure changes to business restructuring are managed effectively and all stakeholders are identified and advised in a timely manner to ensure continuity of reporting. You and your team will handle customer queries and change requests to provide quality assurance to stakeholders.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Proven relevant experience in data management. Previous experience of supervising, leading, and coaching a small team. Understanding of relevant systems and data (SAP Desirable). Structured and methodical approach and a high attention to detail. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with experience of working with cross section of stakeholders (finance and non-finance). The ability to respond at pace to changing requirements in business performance reporting and identify and recommend alternative options.
