Due to the increase in sales from the complex software side of our business and the need to clean SAP Master data as well the prepare our organisation for the future implementation of SAP, a need has arisen to augment Business Control with a new role. 

Job Purpose:
Providing excellent business data, analytical tools and analytical skills. This will ensure support to the Business Controller to improve, analyse, and safeguard the assets and provide overall business control from finance, procedural, prokura and FAM point of view. 

Key Responsibilities:

To support the Business Controller with month, quarter and year-end preparation, reporting and generation of both internal and Group Scorecards. Reviewing the financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with FAM. Initiate and follow up corrective actions when needed. Utilize and share leading practices through interaction with other parts of the Group.To support the safeguarding of all our assets, review, follow-up and improve internal control processes, with a special focus on Stock and WIP – ensuring procedures are robust and followed, with regular stock checks and stock levels matched or adjusted in a timely manner. As well as providing an update on Divisional targets.Debtors – support credit control in the efficient collection of debts as well as implementing procedural changes that have been flagged up as causing delays in customer payments.Analyse and administrate the cost (AMP) and price updates (ARP) to ensure changes have been applied correctly. Including forecasting the changes and comparing them to the outcome to ensure we are in line with Divisional goals. Develop and improve the outsourced accounts payables function to ensure that costs are authorised in line with company prokura, accounted for on the correct line for COGS or FC and suppliers are paid in a timely way.Ensure legal, financial and tax reporting and auditing matters are complied with and limiting the company’s financial exposure.Coordinate with external auditors and internal auditors.Develop processes and procedures to assist the QSHE in collating records such as Training records, Method statements, and risk assessments as well as enhancing and rolling out the customer questionnaire being developed by QSHE. Investigate and implement QSHE KPIs as suggested by the QSHE department.Communicate and liaise with internal suppliers such as Atlas Copco Business Services and colleagues to ensure the business is supported in the best possible way.Participate with other ad hoc projects as deemed necessary.You will report to the Business Controller.

Experience/knowledge Requirements:

You will need to be flexible in your approach, with an eye for detail, understand the importance of standardised procedures and have a desire to identify and implement process improvements.This is a demanding role where applicants must be organised and accurate in their work, whilst able to meet tight daily deadlines. You will need to rapidly integrate immediate and high levels of performance will be required.Sales office experience is advantageous, previous SAP experience would be particularly advantageousYou will be well presented, with an excellent telephone manner.The following requirements are essential:Experience working in an office environmentExcellent understanding of company procedures and processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong planning and organising skillsAbility to manage and prioritise workload Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelSAP knowledge and experienceExcellent telephone mannerThe following requirements are desirable:Sales company experienceKnowledge of the Tools industryMicrosoft PowerPoint experience
