We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to join our team in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This vital role supports the financial operations within Dawsongroup, focusing on enhancing our financial processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Purpose of the Job:

The Assistant Management Accountant will assist in various financial processes including monthly forecasts, management accounts, annual budgets, and audits. This role is crucial for maintaining financial integrity and supporting the finance team in delivering accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Cash Book and perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in posting general ledger journals and managing revenue recognition calculations.
  • Support the Accounts Team in diverse financial analyses and reconciliations.
  • Oversee and provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Administrator.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as needed to support the financial health of the business.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • University degree or AAT qualification (part-qualified candidates will be considered).
  • Analytical mindset with superb attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial management accounts.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial concepts to non-financial team members.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with a strong desire to improve financial functions and business operations.
