PositionOverview: We are seeking a highly skilled andqualified Electrical Engineer to join our Facilities Managementteam in a sitebased role. The successful candidate will beresponsible for overseeing all electrical systems within thefacility ensuring their efficient operation and compliance with UKelectrical regulations. UK electrical qualifications are essentialfor this role. The ideal candidate will have experience inelectrical maintenance repair and troubleshooting in a facilitiesmanagement or similarenvironment.

KeyResponsibilities:

  1. Electrical Maintenance andRepair:
  • Conductroutine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems includingpower distribution lighting emergency systems and electricalequipment to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Perform electrical repairs replacements and upgrades asnecessary to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electricalinfrastructure.
  • Respond promptly to electricalemergencies and faults diagnosing problems and implementingeffective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption tooperations.
Compliance andRegulation:
  • Ensurecompliance with UK electrical regulations standards and codes ofpractice in all electrical maintenance activities.
  • Conduct periodic testing and inspection of electricalsystems to verify their safety integrity and performancemaintaining accurate records of test results and compliancedocumentation.
  • Keep abreast of regulatorychanges and industry best practices in electrical engineeringimplementing necessary updates and improvements to maintaincompliance.
TechnicalExpertise:
  • Providetechnical guidance and support to maintenance technicians andcontractors on electrical systems and equipment includingtroubleshooting complex issues and implementing correctiveactions.
  • Collaborate with other engineeringdisciplines to integrate electrical systems with other buildingsystems and infrastructure effectively.
  • Reviewelectrical design specifications drawings and proposals for newinstallations or upgrades ensuring compliance with regulatoryrequirements and project objectives.
Documentation andReporting:
  • Maintaincomprehensive records of electrical maintenance activitiesincluding work orders inspections test results and equipmentdocumentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports onelectrical maintenance activities including work completed issuesencountered and recommendations for improvements.
  • Collaborate with the facility management team to developbudgets forecasts and expenditure reports related to electricalmaintenance operations.

Qualifications:

  • UK electrical qualifications are a must such as City& Guilds 2365 Diploma in Electrical Installations 18thEdition Wiring Regulations etc.
  • Experience inelectrical maintenance repair and troubleshooting in a facilitiesmanagement or similar environment.
  • Strongknowledge of UK electrical regulations standards and codes ofpractice.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills andthe ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issueseffectively.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in ateam environment.
  • Full clean drivers licensewith the ability to travel between sites asrequired.
