We are looking for a part-time Phlebotomist to work 10 hours a week. The clinic will consist of 5 minutes slots per patient.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venepuncture and capillary collection techniques on patients of all ages.
  • Ensure patient identification and comfort during the blood collection procedure.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures and specimens collected.
  • Educate patients on the blood collection process and answer any questions they may have.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
  • Assist in the labelling and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and efficient patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant medical certification preferred.
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with compassion.
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patient needs.
