We are looking for a part-time Phlebotomist to work 10 hours a week. The clinic will consist of 5 minutes slots per patient.
Responsibilities- Perform venepuncture and capillary collection techniques on patients of all ages.
- Ensure patient identification and comfort during the blood collection procedure.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures and specimens collected.
- Educate patients on the blood collection process and answer any questions they may have.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist in the labelling and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and efficient patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant medical certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with compassion.
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet patient needs.
