We are recruiting for a Senior SHE Advisorto join Octavius Regional Civil Engineering.

You'll be working on… (what your role and responsibility is)


As a Senior SHE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of the SHE strategic plan. You'll ensure our safety management systems comply with both internal and external requirements while actively promoting a culture of safety and collaboration across all projects. Your focus will be on protecting everyone impacted by our work and ensuring a safe, healthy working environment, where every team member goes home safely every day.

You will also ensure compliance with correct reporting procedures, providing timely interventions, and supporting continuous improvement in people skills and safety processes. You'll offer expert advice on SHE legal requirements and industry best practices.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of SHE legislation
  • Practical experience in applying SHE processes and practices at remote sites
  • Worked with SHE counterparts from clients and certification bodies
  • Experience in civil engineering works methodology, ideally within the highways sector
  • Familiarity with broader construction disciplines such as groundworks, earthworks, drainage, and structures

 

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Environmental Management or similar
  • Experience within a Tier 1 contracting environment would be an advantage
