Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of a senior nurse, undertaking routine and specifically identified tasks, this will include but not be limited to patient observations, ECGs, Venepuncture, Urinalysis, ENT suction, Tristell cleaning, chaperoning, Biopsies

requesting investigations via ICE

prepare and replenish the clinical environment for clinical proceedures

Organise junior staff, undertake "safety huddles" and organise breaks

Registered Nursing Associate Experience within a healthcare setting Foundation Level Degree: Nursing Associate Qualification GCSE Grade A-C English and Maths or Level 2 in Maths and English

Desirable criteria

Evidence of continued professional prtactice Willing to undertake further training as required

Knowledge

Essential criteria

Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload in a stressful environment

Desirable criteria

Completion of an HCA development programme Understanding of basic physiology, e.g. normal vital signs, fluid balance, nutritional requirements etc.
