We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to support the Development Manager and Design Team with all aspects of Accessories sampling; from development through to pre-production. You will provide administrative support to ensure the proficient running of the Product Development department. This role is based from our Nottingham Head Office.

Please note, this role is not eligible for sponsorship in the Skilled Worker visa category.

The Role:
Creation of coding on the Prima system for Men’s and Women’s accessories products, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
To set up sample purchase orders using Mosaic and place orders in line with the critical path.
To inform factories of all colour-ways and relevant information, to ensure that samples are made correctly and within the delivery deadlines.
To work with the Design team, ensuring that the finished products meet both aesthetic and commercial requirements.
Ensure that all relevant design information including specification sheets have been given to the Production Assistants.
Working with the Development Manager to check samples and ensure that the quality and styling is correct.
To assist in the sourcing, ordering and development of all new fabrics and trims in conjunction with the Development Manager.
To meet with suppliers in the UK and internationally and to attend sourcing and sampling appointments. Assist in the research of new suppliers for all product categories where necessary.

Your Skills and Experience:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel.
Proven sampling experience, from development through to pre-production is desirable.
Credible experience working in busy teams.
Experience in liaising with factories and suppliers in both UK and international markets.
An understanding of product construction and materials is desirable.

Proficient planning, prioritising and organisational skills.
Very bright and practical, with clear and concise written and verbal skills.
The ability to work to strict deadlines and keep calm under pressure.
Capability to work and liaise internally and externally with people at all levels.
Highly self-motivated and able to use initiative to achieve the required results.
Able to travel in the UK and internationally if required.
