Glasgow, United Kingdom NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Full time

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This is a fixed term post until 27th May 2025.

Tier 4 CAMHS are part of Specialist Children's Services, providing mental health services in the community and through the Regional and National Inpatient Units. Working in tier 4 CAMHS offers the opportunity to be involved with a diverse service user population. We are committed to providing person centred care, trauma informed care and compassionate care in order to help young people on the road to recovery.

We are ambitious in our visioning for the future and are clear about the need to further develop integrated services that ensure that children, young people and families receive the right support, at the right time in a way that best meets their needs. As such, you will be required to be person centred and innovative in your thinking and practice, with excellent ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with children, young people, their families, health and partner agencies.

An exciting split post opportunity is available for a Band 7 CAMHS Dietitian to join the specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder team working across GGC and the Regional Adolescent Inpatient Unit at Stobhill Hospital. The post would offer both a highly specialist clinical opportunity within a well-established eating disorder team and inpatient unit. The primary role would be to offer evidence based treatment through dietetic risk assessment, education and care planning with the young person and their family to support recovery. You will work closely with colleagues in Tier 3 CAMHS and with RHC colleagues.

You will be a registered dietitian and have relevant experience in planning and providing person centred and outcome based care.

You are required to be HCPC registered and experience within Mental Health or Paediatrics is desirable. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and enjoys being part of an enthusiastic team and is looking to develop their leadership skills. You must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills when working with staff as we as children, young people and their carers.

You will work in multi-disciplinary teams whose aim is to provide high quality support, assessment and interventions in line with evidence based practice and national policies/agendas.

You will have knowledge and experience of working in teams where care is coordinated and you will fully understand the impact of integrated care and services.

A strong culture of support, development, CPD, reflective practice and supervision exists to maximise out patient's experience, safety and outcomes and your career progression.

Training and support for your professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision to support good practice.
