SEN Teaching Assistant – Ripon (HG4 1SU)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant SEN school in Bedale. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with a diverse range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including but not limited to, complex needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), etc. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. This would be to start in the Autumn Term (September) and will likely be for the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and assistance to pupils with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of pupils.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Register with Teaching Personnel prior to starting.
  • Provide references covering the past 24 months of employment history.
  • Possess a UK Right to Work document.
  • Candidates with experience working in or studying Education, Health and/or Social Care are encouraged to apply, as they will have the knowledge essential to support children with additional needs.
