We currently have a vacancy for a Planning and Logistics Team Leader atour site in Ditton, Widnes. The main responsibility for this role will be to managethe site supply and the demand against capacity for the site and suppliers,ensuring stock policies are reviewed and managed within businessguidelines.

You will be responsiblefor managing the Production Planning and Warehouse teams under the guidance ofthe Procurement & Supply Chain Manager. You will also review stock levelsduring the month, ensuring production is in line with sales forecasts andcreating a monthly report. The Planning & Logistics Team Leader willdeputise for the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager and assist in thedelivery of S&OP meetings and improving processes.

In this role, youwill continually devise and create improvements to systems and ways of workingto improve efficiency and the speed of delivery of information from thedepartment, whilst managing escalations to ensure a timely response is made to theCustomer Relations team. You will managethe allocation and shortage management process with Customer Relations andSales to ensure the department is taking appropriate action.

Inventory managementwill be critical to success within the role to ensure delivery on time tocustomers whilst minimising stock holding. You will improve/maintain dataaccuracy and support quarterly stock take processes in addition tocollaborating with Group Supply Chain colleagues to deliver improvementprojects for the site.

Essentials:

Extensive knowledge of ERP processes in the Sales & Distribution, Production Planning and Materials Management modules Very experienced in MS Office packages Knowledge of site manufacturing, processes, products, tollers and suppliers Excellentcommunication skills

Desirables:

Educated to degree level Line Management Experience Professional Qualifications Lean Six Sigma, CIPS, APICS etc Experience within Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment SAP experience
