Job summary

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a motivated, innovative individual to deliver Occupational Therapy care to our Critical Care patients at Kings Mill Hospital.

The successful post candidate will help develop the Occupational Therapy role on Critical Care which will be a new and evolving role for our trust.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational therapist who has a keen interest in rehabilitation and delirium management of complex patients on intensive care.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve conducting individualised assessments of patients, addressing needs such as: Hand dexterity, Feeding, Personal care, Splinting, Cognitive assessments, Anxiety management, Pacing.

You will be expected to work independently, providing high quality, advanced therapeutic assessments, managing patients with diverse presentations, and complex physical and psychological problems.Participating in working across both ICU/HDU.

Degree in Occupational Therapy, BSc(Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy. HPC State Registration. Membership of the College of Occupational Therapy Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including attendance at post graduate courses relevant to the clinical field
