Job Description
Our team in Rotherham are recruiting for an experienced Alcohol and Substance Misuse Nurse, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. If you are an enthusiastic and creative registered nurse, passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we’d love to hear from you.
The postholder will provide a range of health and wellbeing and harm reduction interventions to service users, in accordance with the agreed model of service delivery. As part of this role, you will plan, coordinate and support appropriate detoxification from drugs and/or alcohol, assessing the needs of service users and implementing and evaluating care plans. It will be vital for you to develop strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders and commissioners for the continuity of service, as well as leading on providing community detoxification programmes, clinics and groups.
You will be a compassionate and motivated nurse, with the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. This is a busy team, with multiple priorities ongoing, so it’s important that you are highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. You will have sound experience of comprehensive assessment of need, including risk assessments and be able to implement and evaluate patient care and act accordingly if untoward changes occur. Working knowledge of substance misuse and an independent prescribing qualification would be advantageous, but we are open to conversations with all suitably qualified applicants. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users. A full job description is available on request.
We're happy to speak to candidates about flexible working opportunities - this could mean part time hours, or discussing early or late start and finish times. We want to support our candidates to bring their best selves to work - many of our employees work flexibly in different ways, so please get in touch to discuss your individual circumstances. We are unable to guarantee this but do welcome transparency at application stage so that we can explore this with you.
As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff. We know that representing the communities we serve is key to us meeting our goals of radically improving people's lives. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring and we encourage people from underrepresented communities and backgrounds to apply to join our team, including people with lived experience, people with disabilities, people from racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people and armed forces veterans.
As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, we provide a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates that are veterans and meet all the essential criteria for a role.
With You is also a Disability Confident Employer and we offer a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with a disability and meet all the essential criteria for a role.
If you have a disability, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a medical condition which you believe may affect your performance during any aspect of our selection process, we’ll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to perform at your best.
