We are seeking an experienced Freight Management & Process Improvement Lead to drive the enhancement and development of our freight management processes and costs within the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in ensuring the achievement of transport availability, freight cost targets, and the optimization of processes and tools in line with company objectives. The ideal candidate will execute freight tenders, support warehouse tenders, train local plants in tendering, develop digital solutions for freight management, and lead various projects related to freight management and warehouse network optimization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Improve Freight Management Process: Drive and enhance the freight management process, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Execute Freight Tenders: Manage and improve the freight tender process, ensuring effective execution and best value for the company.
  • Coach and Train Local Teams: Provide training and support to local teams on tender processes, enabling them to execute efficiently.
  • Digitalization and Reporting: Continuously improve and automate freight reporting processes, utilizing data to enhance freight processes and costs.
  • Warehouse Network Optimization: Support warehouse network optimization through tenders, analysis, and project management.
  • Vendor and KPI Management: Manage vendor relationships and evaluate performance through KPIs to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in freight management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role within a matrix organization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in modern freight management practices, digitalization of freight processes, and freight reporting. Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with complex ERP & BI Systems (e.g., SAP, AX, Power BI). Experience with TMS systems, particularly Transporeon, is preferred.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and lead team members. Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and concisely at all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess freight market trends and recommend strategies.
  • Travel and Adaptability: Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 50% of the time. Pro-active, self-driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement and digitalization.
