To contribute to the annual assessment of the emotional wellbeing of young people in the service and feedback to the YP Diabetes MDT.

To provide evidence based psychological interventions to YP with diabetes, where difficulties with, or the impact of, diabetes form a significant part of the YP's presentation.

To support the YP Diabetes team to develop their understanding and approaches to the psychological factors affecting how a YP and their family manage diabetes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS. OR Qualification from a High Intensity IAPT Course (Post Graduate Diploma) or equivalent Registration/Accreditation (or accreditable) with the HCPC, UKCP, BACP or BABCP
