You will be supported by our clinical specialists/team leaders, service managers and safeguarding service to provide excellentpractice and develop your skills and knowledge to offer a public health serviceto the 0-19 age range.
We have an excellent preceptorship model to supportnewly qualified nurses. We are committed to professional development, andencourage successful candidates to consider a future place on the SpecialistCommunity Public Health Nurse Course (SCPHN). If your application is successful you will be given the opportunity to learn skills, and develop qualities toenable you to be fully prepared for the application process leading to theSCHPN course.
Successful applicants will work up tofull-time hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be a member of the 0-19 public health team delivering the HealthyChild Programme to children, young people and their families.
Supported by theSCPHN, the post holder will participate in delivering a universal core service,and provide targeted interventions, to address health inequalities, and wherenecessary referring to specialist services.
This role will also includesafeguarding responsibilities, delivery of health promotion such as antenatalsessions, mentorship of students and staff appraisals.
This role covers East Surrey(inc. Redhill, Reigate, Horley, Merstham, Tandridge).
