The Governors of Livingstone Primary School wish to appoint a School Business Manager to be part of our successful, hardworking and dedicated staff team. As the role is part time, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the financial management of the school, along with some other aspects of the sole of school business manager such as the school site and health and safety. Please note, there will be the occasional requirement to work later than these hours to present papers to the Finance Committee of the Governing Body.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual who is able to use their initiative and work independently as well as having excellent self-organisation skills and a flexible approach to managing workload in a busy office environment.

The role is a key member of the office staff and will work very closely with the School Administrator and the Learning Mentor as well as the Head Teacher. The successful candidate should:

  • Have the ability to prioritise time and workload
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be friendly, approachable and professional and able to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
  • Work under pressure managing competing priorities
  • Provide specialist financial support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the school.
