Salaried GP

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated team-players to work on a sessional basis as salaried GPs in the virtual ward and SDEC teams. The positions are primarily based in Bodmin Community Hospital, however additional roles are likely to become available in Camborne Redruth Hospital towards the end of the year.
You will be working alongside and collaboratively with our clinical GP colleagues who work in the community hospital CATU's and with eldercare consultants from the Virtual ward and Royal Cornwall Hospital.
We need individuals to work
Weekday: 0900-1700 and 1030-1830
Weekend: 0900-1700
Applicants will be qualified GPs with primary care experience and a desire for innovation and to be part of the continuing evolution of new services. Training will be provided around the commencement of clinical duties, and this position offers a very generous CPD and annual leave package
Main duties of the job
The GP role will be based in the Same Day Emergency Care clinic working alongside experienced frailty nurses and Advanced Clinical Practitioners to assess patients with an urgent care need and to assess suitability to be cared for at home with the support of the virtual ward. The clinical space has full access to a range of Point of care testing pathology, X-rays, CT scan and MRI with an ability to give a range of therapies.
