About the role
This post sits within the e-Rostering Team which supports managers and employees with the Administration, Support, Training and Reporting functions associated with Allocate Optima.
NHS Highland has embarked upon an ambitious modernisation programme with a key objective to improve its service to patients. This programme is underpinned by Information Technology and has implemented an electronic E-rostering system for capturing how we deploy our workforce. It is necessary to introduce new, or expand and maintain existing, IT solutions/systems into complex clinical environments which often span multiple organisational boundaries within NHS Highland.
The post holder will become an expert user of the Allocate Optima and Safe Care IT system, prepare, and deliver training to all levels of the workforce,providing frontline support and advice on the system to clinical teams. The post holder will support the clinical teams on the management of the Allocate systems to ensure effective and efficient use. They will perform a variety of tasks including creating rosters when required and providing system administration, ensuring accurate maintenance of data within the system, allocation of appropriate user responsibilities and troubleshooting of issues / errors.
The post holder will assist staff to collect and analyse complex data including shift patterns and hours in order to develop, test, deploy and support end user requirements. The post holder will be required to appreciate that staff may be required to change working practices in order that benefits may be realised and will involve persuasion, negotiation, and training.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a or a Heath and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
