Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a programme manager to lead the further development and expansion of the Targeted Lung Health Check programme across the Kent and Medway ICBfootprint. This programme will be the fourth national screening programme for England. The programme has commenced in Kent and Medway and now needs to be rapidly expanded to reach100% of the ever smoker population by are looking for a dynamic and experienced programme manager to lead this exciting and complex programme, working within the Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance team. The programme willwork with the four acute trusts in Kent and Medway who are all at different stages of mobilisation. This is a high profile programme both locally and nationally, and involves multiple stakeholdersand organisations across the county.

Main duties of the job

o Oversee live TLHC programmes in Kent and Medway, ensuring that local trajectories are Work closely with operational, clinical, and administrative leads across existing TLHC sites to support ongoing development and improvement and provide programme management expertisefor sites as Engage proactively with Trusts mobilising new TLHC sites to ensure that services go live in accordance with agreed timescales, and that any risks are highlighted, appropriately mitigated, andescalated where Develop a detailed programme expansion plan with acute Trust, primary care, HCP and community partners to ensure that national expansion trajectories are planned and met locally and thatthe service is rolled out to participants in line with the agreed mobilisation Develop and maintain programme/project plans and risk logs, ensuring that these are kept updated to provide assurance on programme Provide expert subject matter advice and act as an expert resource on all aspects of the Kent and Medway TLHC Take a quality improvement approach to all aspects of the programme and modelling, to reflect changes in service delivery models, and population health as part of the overall programme ofcontinuous improvement in the delivery of Establish and maintain constructive relationships with National TLHC Team colleagues, to keep abreast of national developments and to learn from best practice

Person Specification

Qualifications and experience

Essential

Understanding of strategic NHS and Social Care issues, priorities and service developments. Programme or project management qualification or equivalent experience essential. Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area. Demonstrable experience of managing and delivering complex projects and programmes of work Experience of managing high profile programmes involving multiple organisations and stakeholders Experience in aligning business, operational and strategic needs. Experience of working with complex data sets Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders. Experience of managing risks and issues and reporting on progress. Experience of providing professional advice to senior stakeholder in specialist subject.
