Full-Time Clinical Audit Facilitator band 5 based at the Princess of Wales Hospital (with requirement to work at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital 2 days per week)

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to support the Clinical Audit management team and Senior Clinical Audit Facilitator to deliver the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board's Forward plan for continuous improvement work, including the clinical audit, NICE complianceand quality informatics programmes of work.

Main duties of the job

They will provide support and advice to clinical staff, medical students and managers to achieve continuous improvement in clinical practice and to monitor the impact of change on clinical services and outcomes of clinical care.

The post holder will implement clinical audit and effectiveness and quality improvement through involvement in design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, report preparation and presentation, and dissemination of audit results.

The post holder will provide specific advice on data collection and analysis methods to clinical staff and others to promote measurement for improvement, and support the conduct of National, organisation-wide and high profile clinical audits and quality improvement programmes to include 1000 Lives Plus and successor programmes.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Degree or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Knowledge of evidence-based practice, clinical effectiveness and clinical audit processes, procedures and methodologies. Knowledge of Welsh Risk Management Standards. Understanding of Clinical Governance, NICE, NSFs and Performance management. Understanding of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMS). Awareness of Data Protection Act and Information Governance.

Desirable

Formal Clinical Audit training / IT Qualification / Training qualification Familiarity with NHS Clinical and Information systems and processes
