The Data Provision function sits within the GSK Ware Manufacturing site’s Logistics Management team. The team is responsible for providing the site with accurate and timely data to facilitate new product launches and to ensure that all aspects of the manufacture of products are performed in a controlled manner and meets commitments to international regulatory bodies, as well as the requirements of current Good Manufacturing Practice.

Reporting into the Harmonisation Manager (for the Process, Launch and Data team), the Data Solutions Expert provides the wider logistics team (at the Ware manufacturing site) with data expertise and solutions. Responsibilities include leveraging data driven processes to optimise and streamline logistic operations, using BI and Power Apps, and embedding BI capability (across the logistics department) and enhancing data changes with the Value Stream.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities (include):

Use expertise in Power BI and Power App development to design and implement robust data visualization solutions to streamline business processes within logistics.

Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of supply chain initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders. Whilst training Power BI and App ability across the logistics team, to ensure team independence in performance measuring tools.

Design innovative data-driven solutions to address supply chain challenges, such as run rate changes, production version changes and Flow visibility – whilst establishing digital data solutions to enhance data provision between production and logistics.

Collaborate with teams to integrate BI solutions into existing supply chain management systems, ensuring seamless functionality and user experience for all tools created.

Work with other Sites & above Site Support groups (Communities of Practice) to provide technical input and to lead approved systems enhancements to maximize benefits to material & information flow within the Supply Chain

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, manufacturing, and quality, to align data solutions with business aims and operational needs using Power BI and App abilities.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback, driving continuous improvement initiatives within logistics.

Complete GEMBAs and process confirmations within the Supply Chain to ensure standards are in place and in use.

Accountability:

Accountable for the business processes within the aligned business function. (Digital Solutions)

Agree and monitor service metrics to ensure processes are in place & in use to enable integration of support models within the aligned function.

Ensuring logistics teams independence in performance measuring and Power app ability

Ensure compliance with GSOPs and global templates.

Engage with logistics functions to ensure digital solutions and applications are created, maintained and improved.

Fixed Term Contract (FTC) - This is a circa 18-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) opportunity.

About You:

This role would suit a driven and motivated person who has experience of working in a complex Data environment (utilising SAP). Experience of supply chain within a GMP environment would be advantageous. Good people skills and a proven ability to work in a team (eg; flexible approach, good communication, planning and organizational skills) as well as good writing skills are needed. You will also have a continuous improvement growth mindset and a willingness to work towards standardised and lean working practices. At a minimum the role will require Intermediate Word skills, preferably expert.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:

Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms.
