Birchwood, United Kingdom MacIntyre Full time

Are you interested in part-time night work that really makes a difference? We can offer 18 hrs per week Friday and Saturday nights.

You’ll join our friendly team in Warrington, providing night-time support to 2 amazing men who each have a learning disability.

They would like someone to be there when they are wakeful at night, and to check at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. This will involve supporting with personal care and medication. You will be an emotionally reassuring presence, helping the gents to feel safe and secure at all times. You will also take on some cleaning duties to ensure they wake up to a tidy house.

Intrigued to know a bit more about them?

Let us introduce you to, the wonderful Stephen who has his own Motability car and enjoys drives out to Blackpool sight-seeing. He is keen on short walks, particularly if it involves finding somewhere nice to eat out. He has Diabetes, so he is supported to take a blood reading twice a day. He has limited verbal communication skills but compliments these with Makaton and objects of reference.

Moving onto the dashing John who also has his own Motability car and loves being outdoors exploring. He has a national trust annual pass and a safari park membership. He is also a member of David Lloyd gym as he loves swimming especially the Jacuzzi. John lives a very active fast paced life and staff need to share this with him. He has epilepsy and specific eating guidelines so you will need to support with these. John has limited verbal communication skills and uses some Makaton, PECS and objects of reference.
