GSL Education Southampton Branch are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join schools in Hedge End, working full-time or part-time to support students in their educational journey. If you are patient, motivated, and ready to start ASAP as a Teaching Assistant, we would love to hear from you

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to both teachers and students, helping to create a positive and productive learning environment. Whether working one-on-one or in small groups, you will play a key part in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. This is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in education, with full-time and part-time positions available for an immediate start.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver lessons and engage students in their learning.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing classroom resources and materials.
  • Enforce classroom rules and promote positive behaviour.
  • Participate in training to improve skills and stay updated on educational practices.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • A degree in Education, Psychology, or a similar discipline is highly beneficial.
  • Essential experience working with children in a classroom setting or as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, paired with a caring and patient demeanour.
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and support students.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to a positive learning environment.

To work with GSL Education as a Teaching Assistant, you should: 

  • Have the right to work in the UK. 
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years. 
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
