Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with a minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team in the Morpeth area

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for experienced Support Worker with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of ABI/Mental Health however full training and support will be provided to the right person. You will be joining a team of support workers who provide 2-1 support, 24 hour care in the clients home.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build a strong and trusting relationship with the client supporting her to achieve her goals.
  • Create a positive and engaging environment through companionship and social interactions.
  • Carry out personal care and moving and handling
  • Provide guidance and support with the client's mental health, daily routines and finance management.

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience is essential
  • Must have a valid UK driving licence and be able to drive the clients Wheelchair Accessible Van (WAV)
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
  • Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills

Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
