JobSummary:

The role willbe working with a range of abilities and services users includingvulnerable adults on a onetoone basis delivering training andinformation and guidance on their nextsteps.

You willprovide information impartial advice and guidance and develop andmaintain an action plan with each client who engages with theservice.

Supportingreferrals to all key services available to enable clients to accessthe relevantsupport.

You will agreea range of activities with job seekers or economically inactiveresidents to enable and inspire them to achieve sustainedemployment and/or personal development with a key focus on nonemployment progression measures including improving wellbeingselfconfidence and level ofindependence.

You will attendfamily hubs across the borough on a regular basis which Includesregular meetings with the family hub coordinators and outreachworkers to support wider engagement and build a relationship withfamilies they are engagedwith.

You will workin partnership with a wide variety of local agencies and colleagueswithin the team to provide the best support toindividuals.

Build andfoster relationships within the borough and manage a caseload ofclients including reporting weekly and monthly outcomes forclients.

KeyDuties/Accountabilities:

Deliveremployability services including job searching strategies interviewtechniques and jobapplications.

Provide one toone coaching sessions with clients to address concerns challengesand any other related risks forclients.

Facilitateemployability and personal development workshops to enhanceparticipants soft skills andconfidence.

Complete skillsassessments with clients and support participants in developingaction plans and overcoming barriers toprogression.

Monitor andevaluate clients progress providing timely feedback andguidance.

Buildrelationships with external organisations colleges job centres andemployers to secure opportunities forparticipants.

Identify workexperience opportunities and provide support to participants inaccessing employment education ortraining.

Stay updatedwith labour market information legislation and professionaldevelopments relevant to thefield.

Deliver groupworkshops covering key employability and personal developmentskills in a group environment either onsite or in partnership withthe FamilyHubs.

Play a key rolein centre events (inperson and online) guiding event attendees tomake choices holding mini workshops and presenting key tips andadvice on how we can support individuals with the range of serviceswe offer.

Develop theprogramme and offer with team members and the manager to ensure weare meeting the clients and local demands.

Lead outreachactivities with people who have signed up via email or phone todrive highengagement.

To act as acommunication link for all visitors to the centre including staffand other stakeholders ensuring all key information is madeavailable tothem.

Participate inkey promotional events for the centre and for the family hubsincluding social media and face to face events within the boroughvenues to promote and raise awareness of the services available toresidents.

Maintainaccurate and upto date records of client interactions andengagements including assessments action plans and outcomes fromengagement with theservice.

Work with localemployers to build a strong relationship to enable opportunitiesfor client s progression and action planoutcomes.

Attend meetingsand webinars to build knowledge and skills on the project andopportunities.

Complete followup and review outcomes for clients after 23 months after theclients have completed their engagement with theservice.

Undertake otherduties commensurate to the grade of the post including supportingthe priorities and management of the College as awhole.

EssentialExperienceRequired:

Experience ofworking in a post16 educational or similarorganisation.

Experience ofworking with families and youngchildren.

Experience ofdealing effectively with a wide range of internal and externalcustomers with evidence of providing high quality support andguidance.

Excellentliteracy numeracy and ICT skills with the ability to use a varietyof computer packages including MS Office Google Drive andmanagement informationsystems.

EssentialQualificationsRequired:

Level 2 (GCSEor equivalent) qualifications in English &Mathematics.

Level 2 IAGqualification or willing to achieve this within the first 3 monthsin post.

Additionalinformation tonote:

This role isonsite at Sutton College and will require an Enhanced DBS check andbarred list check due to the nature and possible locations ofworking within the familyhub.

The role mayoccasionally be required to work irregular working patterns (withreasonable notice) in order to attend certain events and membermeetings.

The post holdershould be able and willing to work flexibly during theseperiods.

Local travelwithin the London Borough of Sutton and neighbouring Boroughs willbe required.
