We have an exciting opportunity for a Labour Supply Chain Specialist to join our team, on a full time permanent basis. The role will be for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and can be either London Office based or could be home based with requirements to travel to and work from sites in London as required.

Supplier Management
Accountable for ensuring Labour Services supplier performance management is followed, including:-
○ Accountable for developing and maintaining high quality performance plans and scorecards
○ Regular meetings with key stakeholders to agree initiatives and priorities
○ Ensure the supply chain is compliant with all legislation relating to the procurement of labour services
○ Agreeing (and performing, as appropriate) post contract award Contract Management (contract admin, SRM) roles and responsibilities with stakeholders
○ Implement and manage a framework to prioritise and ensure the performance management of suppliers (including critical/strategic suppliers)
○ Recognise synergies with other areas of spend and incorporate where appropriate.

Category Management
● Support the Head of Corporate Services Procurement to ensure Category Management approach is followed across the Labour categories including:-
○ Helping developing and maintaining high quality category strategy plans
○ Drive initiatives, from the procurement point of view, to achieve on time and in full delivery
● Maintain a solid grasp of all legislation impacting a labour supply chain.
● Provide leadership in the management and implementation of labour supply contracts
● Ensure full contractual and legal compliance, ensuring suppliers perform strictly in line with
contractual conditions and legislative requirements; including risk assessments
● Ensure regular market testing and benchmarking is performed to ensure the maintenance of market competitiveness, value for money and best practice
● Understand Labour industry market trends and development, bringing innovation into G4S to improve cost, service and risk management of the category.

Operational Support
● Act as the main day to day Procurement contact for his/her assigned area, and is seen as ‘knowledgeable of the category’ by stakeholders
● Escalate issues to the Head of Corporate Services Procurement and/or operational stakeholders as appropriate


General
● Accountable for ensuring all projects follow the agreed procurement governance and projects managed using nominated systems as appropriate
● Support procurement initiatives such as supply chain sustainability as it relates to the Labour category
● Build effective working relationships with recruitment leads in the relevant business units.

Skills and knowledge:

Essential:

● Minimum 1 yr sourcing, procurement and contract management skills and experience
● Understanding of key procurement process
● Good technical procurement skills –  full and compliant tenders, negotiate and develop contracts with support from the manager.
● Commercial mindset, able to identify and implement new opportunities
● Ability to communicate to key and diverse stakeholders at all levels
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Good interpersonal skills
● Good organisational skills

Desirable:

● Degree educated
● CIPs qualified or equivalent
● Previous experience in workforce management
● Knowledge of workforce management related legislation (minimum wage, AWR, off payroll working, Criminal Finances Act, etc)
● Personal resilience and drive to succeed
● An ability to work with ambiguity whilst making decisions that are commercially sound
● Ability to work as part of an effective team working with legal, procurement and technical professionals.
● Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with Suppliers
● Strong decision making skills
