POSITION:
We are seeking a Credit Controller to work as part of the Jonas Software UK Finance Team as a hybrid role based in our Wallingford office. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and timely collection of debtor balances on multiple ledgers. You will be expected to provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers, overseeing query resolution and supporting our Businesses to keep a clean ledger and maintain cash flow.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a multi-faceted role where the post holder will be expected (but is not limited) to:
Call and e-mail customers for the collection of overdue payments and verify invoices for up-and-coming payments
Maintain comprehensive notes in the accounting system for reference
Regularly review aged debt report to identify overdue debt and notify CCM/Business of any issues
Provide special focus on the collection of debt over 90 days & problematic debt
Work with customers and colleagues on resolution of customer queries to facilitate payment
Input daily cash receipts to ledger in accordance with Company processes.
Hold responsibility for ledger maintenance with focus on both debt and unallocated cash
Send out overdue account statements and reminder letters in line with Company processes
Prepare data when required to assist in the issuing of weekly debt reports
Attend regular AR meetings with Businesses
Support colleagues in the achievement of team goals by covering in times of absence
From time to time this role may require travel to other sites.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Experience with chasing customers and ability to handle multiple ledgers
A demonstrated ability to process large quantity of data quickly and effectively and to deliver results
Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of Microsoft Great Plains software would be an advantage, although full training for all systems will be provided.
You will have strong interpersonal with both written and verbal communication skills at all levels, with a confident and professional telephone manner
You will have a strong work ethic and be highly organised and methodical
Solution-focused, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
Persistent and resilient under pressure, with a good sense of humour
You will demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to review your own work and take responsibility for correcting any errors
A good team player, who can work on their own initiative as well as follow guidance and instructions from senior members of the team
Self-motivated, resourceful and keen to learn and share knowledge
Flexible and hardworking approach.
