Job Summary

You will play an integral part in the function of the Civils and Structures team whilst undertaking practical training, supplemented by attendance at college in order to obtain Apprenticeship standard Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor.

As Construction Site Supervisor Apprentice, you will assist in planning and co-ordinating works, and undertake site inspections to assist in the management of health and safety, quality & compliance checks for civils and paving works projects in the Port Estate. Occasionally this may extend to supervision of other disciplines including building works and marine works.

This position is to commence in September 2024, with an expected duration of 36 months.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification required in any of the following (or demonstrable equivalent), in a discipline related or relevant construction or civil engineering such as:

- BTEC

- T-Level

- A-Levels

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to carry out the full range of physical tasks associated with the position
  • Live within easy reach or Dover or have means of transport
  • Familiarity with work environment e.g through work experience (desirable)
