This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team as an Apprentice Freight Forwarder in our busy Kent office. The work is varied, from assisting other members of the team to dealing with client matters to completing various administrative functions such as:

- Carrying out admin functions for different client related tasks.
- Office administration duties to include various types of communications and helping other team members.
- Conversing with clients, suppliers and other branches over the telephone.
- Answering the phone.
- Calendar management.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Issuing invoices.
- Using internal software and Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
- Booking jobs on our internal software.
- Any other duties as required.

Many of our apprentices have gone on to become account managers with their own customers.

**Role requirements - competencies**:

- The most important thing is being willing to learn, be proactive and to have a good attitude.

**Role requirements - qualifications**:

- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade C (4) or above).

**Age restrictions**:

- 16+

**Work schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- 09:00 - 17:00
- 40 hours per week

**Salary, benefits & holiday entitlement**:

- £18,000 per annum
- Supplemental salary/bonus - to be discussed at interview
- Pension upon completion of probation period (6 months)
- Holidays - 25 days + bank holidays

**Apprenticeship**:

- Level 3 - International Freight Forwarding Specialist
