About The Role

We are looking to offer a Plant & Equipment Planner the opportunity to join our expanding Specialist Plant & Equipment team based in Newton, Nottinghamshire.

About the team

M Group Services Plant & Fleet currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 85,000 items of Statutory Test Equipment and specialist Plant.

Our team has grown rapidly, and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

As a Plant & Equipment Planner, you'll become a part of our Specialist Plant & Equipment team based at our National Distribution Centre in Nottingham.

About the role

As the Plant & Equipment Planner you will support the Plant & Equipment Function by ensuring all potential and confirmed works are collated; monitored and communicated amongst the NDC Team to ensure the delivery of Plant & Equipment to the customer.

You will also ensure any shortfalls or hire opportunities are highlighted and reviewed amongst all key stakeholders

As the Plant & Equipment Planner, you’ll get the opportunity to:

Produce accurate planners for Plant & Equipment to ensure stock monitoring and project Highlight any areas of shortages to the management team as well as suggesting solutions to mitigate issues with potential clients(s). Quotes for purchases to be obtained where internal stock holdings and solutions have been exhausted. Work with suppliers to keep a record of current lead times for equipment delivery, ensuring these are aligned with budgets for CAPEX and all new purchases, with any concerns raised to the NDC management team. Regularly update key stakeholders, including NDC Management Team and Customer Project Management with any movement requirements throughout the contract’s, ensuring communication is clear and meets all clients expectations Review status of equipment availability by liaising with respective Equipment / Specialist Plant Managers and ensuring status of kit is reflected on the demand planner What you’ll bring? Excellent organisational abilities to prioritise, plan and organise work in a busy environment Good computing skills including ability to use Microsoft office and willingness to learn other programs and tools. Effective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills Hard working, with strong service and performance ethic Able to work alone and on own initiative, as well as being a team player. Strong eye for detail / thoroughness as well as having the ability to work to strict deadlines
