NURSERY PRACTITIONERS NEEDED

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. They should have a genuine love for working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with an inclusive family feel.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, caring environment for children where they can learn and develop through creative and inspiring activities and play.
  • Support and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, maintaining open communication. Supporting and recording their interests/achievements through observations.
  • Promote positive behaviour management techniques, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Ensure that the nursery environment is clean, organized, and conducive to learning and play.
  • Act as a key worker for a designated group of children, providing individualized care and support as needed.
  • Using a friendly approach with parents and carers and colleagues alike at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education).
  • Previous experience working with children aged 0-5 years in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Sound knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude to problem solving

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Training.
  • Additional training and or experience working with children in areas such as SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Working Hours: Full Time

Salary: Competitive, £13 per hour
