Who we're looking for

We at Schroders are looking for an energetic, motivated individual to be part of the Group Tax Team, based in our London headquarters, working on a number of interesting projects, reporting to the Head of Tax Reporting. 

Recent developments in international taxation have resulted in a number of significant new tax obligations for multi-national Groups, including the OECD's Pillar II rules, country by country reporting and public country by country reporting. These new regimes offer exciting opportunities to individuals from a range of finance and tax backgrounds.

The team

Group Tax is made up of a team of 33 tax professionals based in London, Zurich, Singapore, New York and Luxembourg. They work closely with all areas of the business providing advice and assistance on tax-related matters. They also undertake or provide oversight for the Group's tax compliance obligations globally, manage relationships with tax authorities and assist with various forms of tax and financial reporting.

What you'll do

• Work closely with wider tax and finance teams to deliver on all aspects of Group, Public and International Country by Country reporting requirements 
• Assist in developing and implementing the OECD Pillar II (Global Minimum Tax) solution for the Group
• Manage the associated compliance and reporting processes
• Monitor developments in legislation and advise the business on their impact.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need 

• ACA or equivalent 
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills

The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help 

• Experience of HFM/Oracle Fusion accounting packages or equivalent 
• Knowledge of IFRS 
• Knowledge of the Pillar II rules and Country by Country reporting rules
• Knowledge of corporation tax 
• Experience of working in financial services would be an advantage
