About the role:
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a dedicated and inclusive primary school committed to supporting the needs of all our students. We are currently seeking to source a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Key Stage Two.
Job Summary:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to a child with SEND, helping them to access the curriculum and fully participate in school life. This role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the child's individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEND in the classroom and during other school activities.
- Implement and adapt learning activities to meet the child's specific needs and learning goals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to support the child's development.
- Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring the child's comfort and dignity.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with SEND, preferably in a school setting.
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
